ok heres the deal i have an MTX 950 i would like to sell it on ebay but i ned to know if it works or not so i need to program it and see if the tx and rx work but to do that i need to know what cable and software it uses... i have a friend that will do the work if he has the right stuff and his question is, does it use the same cable as the MTX 9250??? someone please help... thanks

It does use the same cable as the mtx9250, ht1250, etc. The MTX9250/8250/850/950 use their own software package that is specific to those radios.

Yes, it will.

I was able to program mine with Trunked Professional Radio 2.01.03 which is HVN9067.
