NTN1174A battery charger

Post by bezking »

I have two battery chargers here that appear to be genuine Moto NTN1174A's. One of them has two battery contacts, but the other has three.

What does that extra third contact do?
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

That part number comes back to an encryption module so I'm sure you meant 1174, which is the overnight charger. The 1171 is the fast charger with 3 contacts. Personally, I wouldn't let either one touch my batteries with the proliferation of multi-chemistry and impres chargers.
