MC2100 -> GM1200

Hi,

I recently "upgraded" an GM1200 to an MC2100 radio.
Unfortunately something went wrong (Wookie-Method) and I could only bring it back to life by programming a default codeplug with mtsxlab and flashing it.
I programmed the tuning-parameters (I wrote them down before flashing), but the radio is still slightly off frequency and I can't open ham-radio-repeaters by 1750Hz-tone (perhaps signaling-dev?).

I did a backup of the original gm1200-codeplug before flashing. I tried to restore the orig. tuning-params by going back to GM1200. Programming the backup-copy with mtsxlab and use gp1200-upgrade-tool gave me error-36 in the flash-tool and error 01/90 in the radio.

How can I flash the radio back to GM1200?

Thanks in advance,
Stephan

It will only work, with the GM firmware and codeplug s-record files!
You have to flash them with the 2100 series lab upgradetool.

Hello Andreas,

thank you for the answer. This weekend I had some time to play around with the radio. Unfortunately I need some more advise.
The Lab-Upgrade-Tool allows programming of internal and external s-records. Is there a way to extract them from my mtsx-lab backup copy? I think I read about this somewhere but I don't know where...
There was a .img file contained in the GM1200-upgrade-tool archive. Is this the file to flash with the mc2100-Lab-Upgrade-tool?
Do I have to program the codeplug's-data or the firmware first?

Thanks in advance,
Staphan

No!
Extracting won´t work.
Those files a special stuff in S-Records format.
