Hey Shaun. I have some XTS Model III's with the following flash code:

508008-000400-0

Options are:

Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
H46 One-Touch Operation
H38/G51 Smartzone Operation
Q173/G173 Smartzone OmniLink Operation

Too dumb? Let me know.

Speaking of stupid....
That's how I feel reviving a thread from over 2 years ago...but the search button will prevail

If "anyone" has "things" like afore mentioned or more, and would be willing to attach them along as "study materials" I would be grateful.

Dancing / Skirting around the direct over with....

I finally grabbed an 800 astro (a real one with tags and a lame f/c :o ) and have never done one. Done UHF/VHF Astros no prob.
MTX8k trunking same deal, no prob.
XTS3k Trunking has me thinking.....
Having 3 Kids and a sick wife, I have not the time to give to this as I have before...

So a codeplug would be very Thankfully welcomed!

Well...
Less than a day and I received an offer for one from a great member!
Thanks...PUBLICLY!

I did get a chance to putz around with the plug after posting this.
I have CPS problems not programing problems.

DOS fixed the problems (most of them).

With CPS the radio was not letting me apply the TGs to the zone list, that I had entered into the personality, they were there but gray'd out and not accessable. The zone was also auto scanning.

9.5 and DOS Fixed in less than 30 min!
No mouse, No Windoz, and old 486 and wha-la! :D

But I'd still like to figure this out in CPS

Thanks Todd,
If you want I can send both. The cps before and after I used 9.5DOS.
I'll send only the first till I hear back.

Off-hand, before I even look at it, I'd say you were trying to choose the talkgroup in the zone under the 'talkgroup' column, which shows the TG, but is grayed out. You need to choose the 'talkgroup#' column, which will allows you to choose from 1 up to 15, depending on how many TG's you've assigned to that particular personality. Number 1 is the first TG you assigned in the personality, number 2 would be the second, etc. The grayed out TG will change accordingly depending on which TG# you choose.

The auto scan thing sounds like it was set in the individual personalities, but I'll check it when I get the codeplug.

Got another chance to compare the CPS c/p to the DOS one.
Thats why I haven't emailed it to follow up on your grand offer.

The reason I couldn't select anything is due to the CPS not moving or remembering where I had imported the Key from
If I restart the CPS it only looks at the CPS related(installed) folders under windows.
So...No tickey-No Laundry :x
I'll just have to move or copy the key to the CPS folder where it wants it.

I'm still interested in looking at a nice but not so whored out (as they say) plug / record..... or both 8)

Todd, may I have a "rain check" for your services???

I off....searching dusty old threads for XTS5k+Keyloading+KVL

You do NOT need to import the system key everytime, as I've seen some people report. You can point the CPS to whatever folder you desire for the system keys. I don't have the CPS in front of me, but it's one of the top menus...something like 'tool', then 'options'. You set paths for everything in there, be it system keys, or upgrade directories...whatever. This is much the same as going into F9->F3 to set the paths in the DOS RSS.

You can redeem your raincheck whenever you desire!
