Radius with 5 Pin Accessory Plug COS w/Tone

Post by ChadRT »

Hello everyone,

I have been scouring the web looking for information on how to pull a COS that only activates with received "Tone". I currently have a Radius that has some kind of COS pulled from it but when you try to use the TONE it wont activate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Radius would have to have the PL enable jumper in the Mic jack or the Mic hung up.

The point is RUS, receiver un squelch and the PL is programmed in the rx channel.

Yes I have a mic jumper installed whenever there is not a mic for local testing plugged in. The COS sends a signal everytime the squelch is opened but it ignores tone presence. I have always thought it was weird.
