XTL5000 TIB Jumpers

I am trying to enable J600 pin 15 for AUX Mic in on a XTL5000 with a O5 Control head. This is the 25 pin accessory connector that is similiar to the connector on the PM1500. In the description of the pin on page 9-12, XTL5000 Basic manual, Rev A dated October 30, 2006, it refers to the TIB jumpers that need to be changed to enable MIC_IN. I cannot find a list of these jumpers anywhere. I currently have a case opened at Motorola as they have been unable to locate anything eto this point. Has anyone encountered this either on the XTL5000 or on the PM1500 (believe if I can associate one with the 1500 it will solve the problem with the XTL5000).

Why don't you just use the normal accessory connector on the radio? It will provide all the connections you need. Only thing you will have to do is go into the software and make a couple of changes. One is the external mic gain depending on what mic your using and the other is the ext mic input selection. It should be defaulted OK so that you shouldn't have to change it.

I found this in the manual : HLN1454B has AUX_MIC as the default state of this
pin. HLN1454C has VIPOUT_1 as the default state
of this pin.

Which TIB board do you have?

Is it high or mid power? High power would eliminate that and since he compares it to the PM1500 my guess would be that it is.

It doesn't matter if it is high power ( uses the DB25 connector ) or the mid power ( uses the funky 26 pin rear connector ), they both can use the accessory connector for all the connections that are needed.

The control head accessory connector is not the best location to make a connection for an external mic. Plus you already have the local mic connection right there on the front of the control head.

Wondering if anyone had located these TIB Jumpers that it makes reference too in the manual?
