Tone Remote and the MTR3000

Greetings! I am hoping the sharp folks on this board can help me out.
Here is the situation:
I have an MTR3000 that will operate in wideband conventional and will be 4 wire tone remote controlled. In CPS Motorola only offers me the options of TRC7 and TRC15 for 4 wire tones, both of which pre-define tone assignments and defeat what I need to do. These options force the 1450 and 1550 tones to be used for channel selection, but the existing network that this radio will tie into uses those tones for putting the radio into and out of repeater mode. The customer does not want to have one oddball radio out there with different tone settings. Makes one miss the MTR2000.
I have looked into using the L3276 Tone Remote box to achieve the required functionality with this MTR3000 but after reviewing the L3276 manual I'm not sure if that will work or not, it looks like that device wants the 1450/1550 tones to be used for channel selection as well.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
