Can confirm that the "DB25" accessory connector on the back of the PM1500 is a standard off-the-shelf type and not something Motorola specific? Also, is the connector on the radio male or female?
Thanks!

You mean the front of the radio, i.e. on the TIB? There is no accessory port on the back of a PM1500, only a power plug. And yes, it's a standard DB25, nothing fancy about it. The radio end is female so your cable will need male pins. Also keep in mind the rear of the control head for a PM1500 also has an accessory port. It is 26 pins, is proprietary to Motorola, and has female sockets as well.

The big question here that you didn't ask, is what are your intentions for this connector?
Do you need the pin out connections for this connector?

Thanks! I've got the pin out for the db25 already from another post on the forums.
So on the front of the radio RF deck there is a female db25 accessory connector and on the back of the control head there is a 26-pin accessory connector? It sounds like the connector on the control head is the same one used on the XTL mobiles? Am I right?
I'm working up an interface cable for a AVL box to fit the radio.

I think you will find that the connections on the control head are slightly different than the one on the radio. Mainly the PTT connection is missing on the control head if I remember correctly.
