Hey Guys,

I was at a hamfest the other day and picked up a HT1250LS very cheap.I was thinking these were 128 channels but when I went to programming the radio it only holds 16. Is there any way I can change this radio to a regular ht1250? I need help BIG TIME. Here is the model H25RDH9DP6AN.

You can use the unofficial Waris labtool to blow in an HT1250 codeplug, but if you do I believe the radio will need to be retuned.

you can also use global tuner to save the tuning data before blowing in a new code plug. Its a pretty good rule of thumb to back up the tuning data before you do anything with the lab tool.

There is/was a model of HT1250 that did (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) 128 conventional modes and 160 LTR modes. I believe it was pre-HT1550. If you're going to use the inofficial labtool, you may as well use that codeplug assuming of course you want to retain the LTR capabilities.
