MSF5000 won't pass audio but keys up

Post by tskilbride »

I put a MSF5000 UHF repeater on the air today. However, it won't pass any audio. The repeater keys up with proper DPL on the input, but will not pass audio. It will encode the DPL during the transmission. I cranked the line levels up and still nothing. I just bought this and maybe something came lose driving it home? Any ideas???

Have you looked in the SSCB/TTRC control tray to see if anything has been modified? Perhaps someone used an external controller on it and didn't properly hook it up (you should not have to cut/modify anything to interface an external controller). Look at U148 (I think that's the number). Is it there?

I took the expansion tray out and now it will pass audio. Good enough for me at this time.
