Hi. I'm looking to buy an older 4mb XTS2.5k for cost purposes. It has a flash code of: 520008-000510-2. The radio is currently on Host version 9.xx - will I lose FPP because of FPP/trunking if I use recent software? The radio has q52 and q53 but also has trunking.

both Q52 and Q53 are present, don't think you'll have a problem.

Decoding Flashcode: 520008-000510-2
Platform: XTS2500

Q806: ASTRO IMBE Digital Operation
H14: Enhanced Digital ID Display
Q52: Federal Government FPP
H38: SmartZone Systems Operation
Q53: FCC FPP And Radio Cloning
Q173: SmartZone Omnilink MultiZone Operation
Q575: 3600 Baud Trunking (Analog/Digital Voice)

That is the flashcode. As I mentioned before, the radio is an older 4mb with an older host. Will I be able to use this radio with the latest astro 25 cps and still keep FPP. Just want to be sure before I do this.

It will still have FPP but the trunking will not work.

Last I checked, you can't bump the firmware (HOST) beyond R9 in a 4MB radio...

I am only talking about using the latest CPS, not upgrading anything.
