Hey all, I was just wondering if these models have a Convertacomm model available. If so, what is the model Number and what would I be expecting to pay for one?

You can get an adapter for BNC or Mini-UHF and mount an antenna on your car and get a speaker mic. There are also commercial amps available. Works the same, just in a more spread out package.

What kind of amps would I be looking for?

This amp is new so pricing would be far less on the used market but something like this would work well. They have them in all bandsplits. Make sure you're getting 1-4 watts input. This particular unit has 1-4w input ---> 10-50w output.

don't know about newer solutions, but these might do the trick for you. You'll need a power cable and the correct adapter.

Not much else I can think of without getting a convert-a-com for a 3000/5000

Yes FireCapt said, they have "convert-a-coms" aka XTVA's for the XTS3000 and XTS5000. They are around $400 and will boost your power, allow you to use a mounted antenna, charge your radio, allow the radios audio to run through an optional speaker, and let you use a vehicle mic or HHC which will let you control the radios functions from the mic as well as talk through it. Search ebay for XTVA. You'll see.

I was under the impression that anything for the XTS3000/5000 wouldn't work for the 2500/1500s.

Guess I have more to learn.

No. I was saying you need to get an XTS3000 or XTS5000 in order to use an XTVA/Convert-a-com. Just found this for you:

This is just an amp. If you got an N female adapter you could mount this in your trunk.

Would this work MES or would this need more equipment to allow it to work?

Will not work. See that "interconnect" port. In order to input into that unit, you have to go through a convert-a-com first which then plugs into that amp. Again, with an older jedi series radio or an XTS3000/5000.
