Trying to program a Minitor 5 SV VHF to have it reset after the 120 seconds allowed. Only problem is, after the tone out is done and dispatch is complete, the squelch/static stays open between every piece of radio traffic. Current squelch setting is at 2. Any possible way to get the squelch/static to close between the radio traffic?
What was is trying to accomplish is, He has a neighboring FDs tone in the pager to notify him of their call. The neighboring town is volunteer, so they rarely get out the door for a call. His FD is due on the second tone out after 4 minutes of no response. He was wondering if he is laying in bed, and hears the certain alert for that FDs tone out, that he can just let the pager sit and reset without getting out of bed and not having the Static/Squelch?

On the
Model Options tab, near the bottom of the window, change
Reset Function to
Revert N and the time to about 10 seconds. This function exists to keep the stored voice option runnng if the dispatcher drops carrier for a few seconds between the tones and the voice-out. You can adjust the time to suit your needs, but if it is too short and you have one or more dispatchers that pause too long after the tones, your stored voice won't record the voice message.
Also on that page, the
Stored Voice Function time setting is there to limit the length of each stored voice messages that is saved. I have ours set to Dynamic so it grabs the full message no matter how long the dispatcher talks.

Got that all done. The squelch still stays open between each transmission between whoever keys up to say they are en route or what have you.
