Have any of you guys worked with the CES (brand) gps-150 unit w/ the PM400 dash mount mobile? One of my trucks stopped allowing the administrator to "request position." We pulled the CES unit and shipped it back to the manufacturer, and they found no problem. We double checked and it seems to be a radio problem, but cannot find anything wrong with the radio. Now, to complicate matters, you can swap a radio from another truck and it works. So, radio problem right? We just can't find a problem. The guy at CES said it's either a RX audio problem in the radio, or a RX audio level problem in the CES. Anyways, I just wanted to know if any of you have fooled with any of these units.

I worked with some CES stuff years ago, although not with the PM series. You'll have to check the CES documentation, but it could be as simple as it requires flat/unfiltered audio out of the RX pin 11 and the radio was inadvertently set for filtered/squelched. If the programming is correct, have you confirmed pin 11 works with a scope or similar while receiving?

Also, maybe the unit is receiving the request, but something is stopping it from sending the response. I'll make the assumption the unit is sending it's response on the flat TX pin 5...have you confirmed you can pass audio on the pin with a rear mic setup?
