Can anyone confirm for me that a dash mount Astro Spectra with either an HLN6401A or 6401B interconnect board will accept a key from a KVL when loaded through mic jack?

If my memory serves, the board must be one from the Astro and not the analog legacy Spectra. Need to confirm this is indeed the case and those boards above will work.

Did a search here but didn't find anything definitive, lots of posts but nothing I can hang my hat on.

HLN6401 is the astro spectra/+ interconnect board. They will keyload.

This is pretty cute. HLN6401 is canceled and replaced with MHLN6401. MHLN6401 has been canceled and replaced with HLN6285. So, no new stock will allow for keyloading. Motorola says its an identical substitute. I beg to differ. I'm sure others would as well..

Not to mention it won't allow programming of the astro spectra + radios. A board member tried the substitute board and no dice and messed up the radio.

The 6285 can be converted to the 6401 by adding two jumper wires.
