Organizing channels on an FPP xts2500

I am suddenly having trouble managing the CPS on my FPP XTS2500 (I hate FPP BTW). I understand in the special rules for FPP that you can not move channels or zones in a zone that is FPP protected. I have one FPP zone (zone 1) that apparently is the mandatory minimum. On the 4th from the last zone I had to add more channels as the departments in that category added new channels. The CPS will not let me insert channels nor move channels inside the zones. They are at least out of order, but also a specific dept may have channel A in channel 1 and channel B in Channel 16. I even had to add some of the channels to the last zone (5 zones later) and I can not move the zones around so they are next to each other. I have checked the FPP / Protected tab, but nothing is checked. I must be missing something, because the original programming is all in order. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

JT

I believe the first 15 zones in an FPP 2500 radio are locked in place and can't be erased or altered other than changing the frequencies, PL, and other standard channel info. In the happy case that you have a 4 meg 2500 you may even be hard locked at only those 15 zones of 16 channels each which limits you to 240 channels.

FPP can be a cool feature for programing stuff on the fly but in the case of a 4 meg 2500 it may have more cons than pros.
