What I have:
Motorola MC2000 Single base station Tone remote deskset model # L3216A
Have software loaded on 3 seperate computers, can get all three computers to read the deskset configuration, make changes to the data
All laptops have true builtin RS232 Serial Ports
(PC1, 64 Bit Laptop Intel i5 2.67 ghz processor with Win7, reads/writes fine with exception noted below, PC2, 32 Bit laptop with Win XP Dell Latitude D830 can't remember processor, reads/writes fine with exception noted below, PC3, 32 Bit laptop P3-500 MHz with Windows 2000, reads/writes fine with exception noted below)
Problem is when I write the configuration file back to the deskset, everything shows good (ie no error messages and indications are OK) but the programming won't take. . . .
Again all three computers read the bugger just fine, deskset just won't accept/save/whatever the changes I am trying to make. Deskset works fine otherwise. . . .
Am I missing something here or do I have a broke deskset?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
As always, Thanks in advance for any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc.
Tony

Re: MC2000 Tone remote deskset won't take programming
Sounds like a broken unit. I haven't programmed many of them, but never had an issue with them not retaining programming changes.
Now, the Gai-Tronics remotes, with their 'CardSuite' software, I've had lots of times when I've had to write changes 2 or 3 times before it takes...junk.
