I have a quantar station that has been confirmed to have a dead SCM. The damaged module has part number TTN4094C28, and a module I was able to borrow for testing that worked in the station had part number CLN1293A.

what is the best way to determine part compatibility for the scm. I am looking at the ebay auction linked below for a possible replacement. the seller lists the part number as TRN7900xx. any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Here is some background on SCM: (they are also called Epic versions)

EPIC 1 boards don't have the 80 pin simm - They use 32 pin sockets only.
Epic II is where the CPU like processor is in a socket - the coprocessor may have a socket but no IC.
EPIC V card has the main CPU soldered on the board - its a reduced size processor - not the same size as the co processor socket.
Also the EPIC V card model number starts with MCLNxxxx vs CLN / TTN for the EPIC II and TRN for EPIC 1.

So, if your looking at an TRN as a replacement SCM it will be old version, production year 1994 or earlier. I don't believe the
Epic 1 SCM is firmware upgradable.
