MCX 1000 Programming Divide Overflow Error

I am trying to program a MCX 1000 and cannot get the software to load. I keep getting the following message: "Your program caused a divide overflow error. If the problem persists, contact your program vendor."

I am programming on a Dell CPi laptop. It is a Pentium II - 366MHz processor. I have changed the Boot Speed from 366 to Compatible. I have also changed the Boot Post to all the different settings.

Any suggestions would be great.

Your system is way too fast. MCX1000 software is of the same ilk as Syntor software... you need a real boatanchor. I can get it to run on a 486SL/33 by disabling CPU cache and turning the processor speed down.

Another point that could come into effect here is the computer cashe. There is a program floating around that I use on a number of computers " CACHEOFF.COM " and start it before starting the programming software. You might try this and see if it makes a difference.
