I have a GM350 in a truck it has been in there for a few years now but when I TX on channel 2 which is a mobile to mobile channel same as chanel 3 and 4 the radio will key up for about a second then the whole radio will turn off, only on channel 2, channels 3 and 4 are back to back channels but they will TX as long as you want and channel 1 is for a repeater and that works ok as well, I have tried changing channel 2 with channel 1 and then the radio will turn off when you key up on channel 1 but not channel 2, it seems like the radio don't like the frequency that is on that channel

Can any body come up with any ideas please
thanks lance

Time to put the radio on the bench and see what is going on. Could it be that that channel got programmed wrong and it's out of band pulling too much current? The high current may be pulling down the +12 volts low enough that the micro is resetting and booting the radio back up.

yes that is whats seems to be happening, but the frequency is in the middle range 165.0225, and the radio is using this frequency on another channel to RX, but on this channel I want to RX and TX the same frequency, but I have tried it on different channels and the same thing happens all the time, cant put my finger on this one
