I have a m1225 LS and running v3.0 software. It will read the radio and i can change things to program it. But I can not change the conventional ch's. I can delete them but when I go to enter a new freq I get a "run-time error 70". Im running win 7. ive set tried setting the program to run under admin and win xp compatibility. Nothing helps.
Any ideas?

I could be wrong, but if my memory serves me correctly, I don't think you will get that program to run under anything but pure DOS. It might also put you into the slow clock speed computer to get it to run correctly. It has been many years since I played with any of that series radio. I can be sure that it will not run under your Win 7 for sure. It is too old for that foolishness.
I am sure someone will jump in here and prove me wrong.
Jim

That CPS won't work on Win7. Find a different PC. From the Readme file:
Code: Select all
System Requirements:
--------------------
Operating Systems: Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows XP (Home or Professional)

Sorry, Jim, but I am going to agree with you...
I could not get the v4.0 1225 CPS to install on anything newer than an XP machine. Since I only have a couple of them to deal with, I took the path of least resistance and didn't bother spending any time on virtual this or that or whatever to try to get it to install on my Win 7 32 bit laptop. I installed it on my older XP desktop and let it be. If one of the M1225's needs to be reprogrammed, I just pull it out of the vehicle and do it on the bench.
