XTS5000 Audio Questions

My XTS5000 (UHF 450-512, currently conventional RX only set up) will pick up great, however every great now and then, it will cut out "choppy like" with the same amount of time in between each cutout, however the RX LED stays on, so I know it is reeving a signal. Is this a CPS issue I can fix? And lastly, a couple of friends of mine who are LEO's with the county, have XTS radios and are on the new 800/700 Tennessee State System, and the audio on their radios is a deeper louder, and "richer" more stereo like audio, almost like a Bose FM radio. Is there any way to make my XTS have this audio feature, or is it just the system it is on? Mine is not at all as rich of a sound. Thanks!
