MTR2000 and Narrow Band

Post by arlojanis »

I reprogrammed a MTR2000 for narrow band and now there is intermittant noise keying the repeater. Repeater is PL. Does the squelch need adjusting after going narrow band?

You should check everything after narrowbanding. I've found I have to kick up the deviation a tad, and tighten the squelch. I do the whole procedure.

Also make sure your receiver qualifiers are set properly (AND/OR), etc.

I have found the squelch needs to be tightened up a bit after narrowbanding.

recreate the codeplug from scratch when making that change, be wary about download -> change -> upload.
