Anyone know what the modular port on the back of a XPR 6550 drop in charger is used for?

I believe the field programmers use that port to upgrade the firmware. Impres firmware is at v3.4 now.

It can also be used to add an external display.

There is a tutorial with photos here somewhere on adding the display.
