OK guys I got one for you, I have 3 Ht1000s VHF 2 channels very basic radios. I use them for camping or road trips with friends whatever just my little toy radios right. Here is what I don't get and I am hoping there is a way to fix this. I key up on any of them and on another radio RX is delayed almost a sec. I have tried with my XTS3000 RX is still delayed. If I key up on my XTS then the RX on the HT1000 is also delayed almost a sec. Its choping off the first part of any trans. Ideas???? I have been up and down the rss with no luck. At this point its driving me nuts

Make sure MDC/TAR/ATIS DECODE is disabled on the channel configuration page.
If enabled, it may delay opening the RX while the radio waits for data.
I found this PDf that was helpful in finding the info without going to the RSS

I find that with the AND OR un-mute setting there may be a delay for the squelch to open.
Does the radio still have the un-mute delay with the PL disabled>

OK checked the decode and I did disable it. No Change in RX delay
I programed to CSQ and it opens up right away with now delay. As soon as I programe the PL tone back, I get the RX Delay

OK so I was playing around and found PL Sleep period (ms) was set at 50 I dropped down to 5. It seemed to do the trick. Not sure what it is. I also set the cs sleep period (ms) to 5. What are these settings. They are in the lab rss under system config.

PL sleep controls the time the radio CPU puts the audio/signaling ASFIC to sleep on a PL decode channel for conserving battery life.
You can also disable the battery saver in the channel options menu.
