Just tried to return an Astro Spectra to the depot for repair and they told me they no longer support them. This is a T99DX+165W_ASTRO D04RKH9PW7AN. FYI

IIRC the Astro Spectra went off "life support" at the depot in 2010. Not sure about the Astro Spectra Plus though.
It's one of the reasons their value has dropped significantly, I've seen 9600 baud AS 1MEG W5's and W7's for $100-150 on everyone's favorite auction site.

What is wrong with your Astro Spectra?

Astro Spectra Pluses are also no longer supported, including flash upgrades.

Will. the radio shows a fl 01-90 in the display when you apply power. Then it will turn off, back on and show the same code. Other posts say this is a hardware failure. Any thoughts?

I can fix that problem most of the time. No charge if I do not fix it.

Unless I am totally looking at the wrong thing, the 01/90 error indicates that there is a serial bus failure. This could be a control head problem, a command board problem or a cabling problem.

Has this radio worked before and just started doing this?

By some chance is this a newly acquired radio from someone that sold you a bill of goods, sight unseen?

It was in service and operational. Driver called me and said his radio was not working. Nothng has been changed in the radio or vehicle so I installed a spare and contacted M about shipping the defective radio to the depot and found out they are no longer supported.
