Motorola X2-TDMA

Post by jmzorns »

Does anyone know what flashcodes are compatible with the Motorola X2-TDMA? Are the XTS 5K and 2500s going to work with this upgrade?

Thanks

The APX series are the only radios that work with X2-TDMA.

As Mike said APX radios only, it's the bit at D2 B1 (it adds the value of "1" to the second-last Flashcode digit (not including the checksum), or in other words, if this second-last digit in the Flashcode is an odd number, the radio is optioned for TDMA) and the option is called "QA00580 - TDMA Operation"

Early firmware versions only supported X2; later firmware (from R06 onward) supports both X2 and APCO Phase II

Andrew

EDIT: Sorry, should have specified... it's "QA00580 - TDMA Operation" for portable radios and "GA00580 - TDMA Operation" for mobiles; the bit location is the same for both platforms.
