Just received the latest update for the CM200 software. My question is, do you just load in the updated program and it over writes what is needs to, or should you uninstall the existing program and then install the updated one? There is no guidance with enclosed "instruction" sheet.

Just install it. It will overwrite as necessary and keep any code plugs that you have already created.

The newer versions coming from Motorola all have the wide band, 5K and 4K deviation locked out.

Most say NOT to upgrade your CPS. due to this forced narrowbanding. No one at /\/\ is considering the other services, Part95 and 97 ham.

Thanks for your message on the narrow band only as I was getting ready to install it. Whew! We'll let well enough alone for now as these type of "improvements" I don't need.
