GP900 to MT2100 4M 66-88Mhz Conversion

Allright!
Now in total i have spent hudreds of hours on this and just cant seem to solve it, have read about several others with the same issue in at least 3 different languages but no fix.
I started out with a GP900 LVHF (66-88mhz) version and a MT2100 UHF(H01RDH9AN8AN).
Since i have no use for more UHF radios i thought the idea of a LVHF full keypad radio was nice.
So i put the RF board from the GP900 in the MT2100. (=H01FDH9AN8AN)
Tried to make a default codeplug in the DOS RSS.. First problem R02.01.00 dosen't support the lowband radios.. ;(
Wookie (either version) cant make a errorless working default/native codeplug (all other bands work fine of course)
The other version i had from work R02.08.00 (Named CELIA 2000) is a local Swedish invention (nice with keypad programmable id buffers and a lot of extra fancy 5-tone functions adapted for Swedish market and MRS5000 systems (Ericsson)) the standard flash upgrades don't seem to include the flash for this version so away with this to. (several hours down the drain) Eventually i got hold of R02.09.00, Yippie was my reaction. Well this version does include the radio model and can make a "default codeplug" but still gives me the same results.
The problem:
Codeplug from RSS (R02.09.00) through LAB (MTSXLAB F3/F6/F2/F10/F4/F8) to radio, fine!
Flash upgrade, fine no coplaints or errors.. (Can even read/write from RSS)
Result, either a radio that is in restart loop or a radio that have perfectly working transmitter, no recieve and constant beeping through the speakers(unless you turn the rotary knob around e few times then it will be quiet unitll you transmit again but still no RX)?
If i use the labflash and program the internal EEPROM (I option) and choose the file included in that zipfile (MT2100) i get the radio up and running.. Well, i get ridd of the beeps and instead i have no TX or RX but no errors and as i said beeping.. gone.. (and i am back to the original version H01RDH9AN8AN.)
So now to the desperate part...
Is there anyone here that have had succeded in a similar conversion, had the same problem or have any clues as to what to do?
Incompatible hardware?
Do i use the wrong combination of RSS / Flash?
Wrong default codfile? Maybe there's someone here with a "full native" codfile for a radio of this version (H01FDH9AN8AN) that i can try to program through LAB maybe that will help?
Have i missed some step that is needed to change frequency specs on/in the logic board?
As i said i am open for any options by now..
A million thanks!
Anders
