Does anyone know the pinouts on the Minitor V amplified charger (RLN5869C)? The batlabs minitor page has a 6-pin DIN pinout for earlier models but the V has a 5-pin DIN connector.

I got the "relay output" functionality, but looking in the charger it appears to be IC controlled. I found one pair of wires was used for 10-second activation and the other for continuous activation. They were sensitive to polarity, although the negative wires could be bonded together which I utilized to provide a simple wire jumper to switch between the settings.

The Minitor V is also 6 pin, the 6th pin is the shell of the connector. It is the ground for the speaker audio that is on pin 1.

I just moved an external relay that I use to activate station strobes and speakers from a Minitor 2 to a 5 with no wiring changes at all, just pulled the din plug out of the 2 and pluged it into the 5 and all works just like it did on the 2.

If you want to change the on time after a page here are my notes for the charger amp mods for the Minitor 3 charger amp, I think the 5 is the same


Remove R-10 from the top relay board

Install a 10 meg ohm resistor across the pads JP-1

Notes: original resistor was about 1.5 Meg
Each 2.2 meg increases on time about 15 seconds
10 meg results in about 70 seconds on time
