xtl5000 remote head synchronization

xtl5000 remote head synchronization

I am trying to upgrade my xtl5000 from a remote w9 head to a remote 05 head. At about block 9 of the flashing, I get an error during synchronization. The screen is reading, "downloading bootcode to control head". Any one have any ideas?

use a serial cable

What is the firmware version of the radio?
