CM300 Won't Read

A buddy of mine has a CM300 that will not read. We keep getting I believe error 519. Basically "Could not connect to radio verify that it is turned on and the programming cable is connected" We have tried 3 cables, 2 aftermarket and 1 OEM. We are using Commercial Series R05.16. About 3 months ago when he got the radio, it programmed fine with his aftermarket cable.

We have tried 3 computers, and different cables on each one. Each computer will program our CP200s and the GR1225, just not this one CM300.

Thanks

Tyler, try cleaning the mic connector contacts with deoxit or similar then try again. Likely it'll work after cleaning.

We've been through this a couple of times. The standard MaxTrac/Radius/CDM programming cable does not work on the CM200/300 family. Pins 1 & 3 of the RJ45 need to be shorted to get the radio into programming mode. You can buy the adapter or make your own.
