'Afternoon...
I'm looking to replace a couple of radios in Ham service... they are Maxtrac/Radius series units and we used the expanded accessory connector when we set them up to do those Hammy things.
Today, I just don't know what models still have such a connector.
My needs are:
VHF 144-148 MHz, 5 kHz (wideband), 25 watts or less (10 watts continuous is fine), expanded accy connector fully programmable (like the old GM300).
Any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks,
Sam

I should have said, what is available in current production (ie: new).
M1225 and SM50 are long gone I think.
CDM may be to pricey, but I hadn't considered those.
Not familiar with CM200/300 or PM400.
Is the implementation on the CDM and/or CM/PM radios a "full" implementation? I'll need to have a pin programmable as a COR/COS, another for PL detect, etc.
Thanks
Sam

Yes, the current production radios will support COR (CSQ detect) & PL Detect

Just be carefull what version of the Pro CPS you use on the CDM, the latest version will only allow narrow band (12.5) operation unless you get a Key from Motorola to unlock wideband
