So, you think that the first car radio was made by Motorola in the pre-WW II era?
Perhaps, Galvin was an illusionist, since Harman inc. states that:
"Since introducing the world’s first car radio in 1949, Harman has pioneered a continuing series of..."

I admit that Motorola was the first car radio in mass production, but according to Harman, until 1949 there were no car radios...

Perhaps they mean "Factory installed radios".
