RNC Removal.

Post by wings123 »

Hello to all,
Does anyone have experience removing the RNC? If so, what steps need to be taken? We have an 800MHZ Trunking Simulcast Smartnet System. Any and all help will be immensely appreciated.

Is this the RNC3000 your talking about? If so, then you will want to tell the DIU3000 that you won't have the data services within its settings, and to disreguard the data port . Else, the DIU will complain that the RNC link is broken. Once you turn off the RNC3000 option, write the codeplug back to the DIU and let it reboot. Then disconnect the connections on the back of the DIU. What are you going to do with your RNC?
