Question about Polaris RIB PA-2

Post by williamray507 »

Hello all I just got a Polaris RIB PA-2 and have a question about the radio end. Will the cables that work on my motorola RIB to the radio work with this? Looking at http://www.batlabs.com/polaris.html it looks like Polaris has pins 15,24,11,13 swapped.

Polaris Motorola
Pin 15 11
Pin 24 13
Pin 11 15
Pin 13 24

So from looking at that I could just make an adapter to swap the pins right?

Make a cable for the Polaris 25computer side to the 9 pin serial connector on your computer. It is on that page.

The Polaris is meant to use the same radio cables as the Motorola RIB. No adapter needed.
