Well I just installed a VHF Astro Spectra and a 800mhz Harris converta com in my Explorer.

Looks great! Is that Astro Spectra's Microphone permanently connected up there, or can you take it off of the clip?

I'm just curious as to how that is working out for you...I'm on the verge of installing an MCS2000 in a similar region of a 2003 Trailblazer.

There is a mic clip there. So I can take it off to use it. I stuffed the cord into the classes holder so its not just flopping around in my face. I really like the set up. Its very easy to use and see the radio screen.
