Got a question. A neighboring locality wants us to put a couple of our aes keys in their radios. They use some sort of Kenwoods and said they can get a cable to work with our kvl 3000. I don’t think they can but is there any way they can pull/copy/ or manipulate in any way our keys?

Pretty much any radio that is either DES or AES holds the key securely and an operator or technician is unable to retrieve the algorithm from a device, including a keyloader, once loaded.

But what they can do is to create their own key and communicate on your secure channels without you knowing about it once you give them access to the channels.
