Internal refleted power on Motorloa Quantar UHF2

Hi...on the Motorola Quantar repeater UHF i`m getting 8 W of internal reflected power...i can wake up the transmitter but on the other hand the level ov volume heard on the radio is so low so you cant here it...how can i solve the two issues....should i retuner the duplexer or what should i do...thanx

You should find out why you are getting reflected power. I'd check the duplexer tuning, quality of the antenna connectors on the feedline first, then the feedline itself, and lastly sweep the antenna. An inline watt meter can help find the problem too if you're able to hook it up directly behind the transmitter, the antenna port on the duplexer, at your lightning suppression point (if one exists) and lastly at the antenna.
