Is there any advantage to use a Digital only channel in the repeater over a programmed DMM channel once all subscribers are switched over to digital?

What industry is the user in? Is there a need for any analog comms? The accessory jack stays active on analog calls on a DMM machine so that would be useful for an external interface, say remote set up and knock down or maybe an external controller or phone patch or something

We always leave an analog channel in the repeater. We don't have it active in a scan list, but manually select it with a test box we built (channel steering switch, rx and tx audio points).
This allows us to do site noise measurements and check for co-channel interference during on-site maintenance.
