Linking MSF5000 and MSR2000 Base Station together

Post by tskilbride »

I have a UHF MSF5000 currently on the air. I recently acquired a MSR2000 VHF base station. I want to wire the two together and have each machine key each other up on proper signal. RX signal on MSF5000 repeats on UHF and brings up TX on MSR2000 and RX MSR2000 brings up TX on MSF5000. I was thinking of interfacing a NHRC-4 controller on each machine and wire the two machines together through the secondary port of each controller. These two machines will be sitting next to each other.

That's your best bet, doing it in this fashion gives control over each independently. Just make sure you setup your VHF port as a non duplex port. Set your audio levels and you should be good to go
May the Schwarz be with you.
