UHF Maxtrac 50

My Maxtrac decided it wasn't going to hear anything.

So start at the antenna and work my way towards the speaker.

I got the 45.1 MHz IF going into the "receiver subsystem IC" but I don't have any 44.465 MHz from the crystal Y52.
Injecting 44.465 MHz with a signal generator and scope probe makes the radio happy so at least I know everything else is doing what it should be doing.

Of course, the Xtal 44.645 MHz PN 48-80008K02 isn't listed anymore in the online parts book. (Of course)
Is there a cross reference to something they do stock or does someone here have an old one in stock on the shelf they want to sell me?

Thankies

Hello:
A fellow on ebay is selling 2 new 44.645 crystals with free shipping for 8.99
Don't know exactly what the deal is but I heard that a company was making the crystals after market.
Ebay auction number 271251635200 seller = winterallsweet2013
Not saying they are good but cheap enough that your not out a bunch.
He did get a positive on a sale of 2 crystals already sold so its your decision.
Good luck

Thanks, just what the doctor ordered.
And if that doesn't work, I bought a used complete radio for $27.00

The crystals arrived today. After cleaning the gunk (adhesive) off of the board and soldering in the new crystal the radio sprang to life.

Thank you, that's just what the doctor ordered.

The customer is happy and I'm happy.
