Batboard

Hello all,

Just bought a radio from a fellow board member who states the radio is stuck in Power Up Mode. He says he bought it a Dayton a few years back but didn't have the time to look into seeing if it can be fixed.

Was wondering if anyone here might know what's going on with it and the associated cost's in getting it fixed.

Can't give F/W version as radio won't fully power on to get that info.

b/o volume select pot?

Check the resistance across the volume pot on-off switch with it in the closed or 'on' position. If it isn't nearly zero, replace the control. Other than that, if it won't boot, the uP is not getting a power good and the boot process won't complete. Off for Spanish lessons it goes.
