Not sure how many of you remember Wayne Green, W2NSD. You use to hear him on many of the ham frequencies and local repeaters using his call as W2 "Never say Die". He was a great friend to have and an even better to meet in person.
I can remember the many trips I made to Peterborough, New Hampshire. There were many afternoons that we all would gather at his house and the center of the 73 magazine back in the early 70's. We would talk for hours about ham radio, problems with repeaters and where ever the conversation might stray. He was like the father to ham radio for those of us that lived close enough to go visit.
In his later years, Wayne managed to be involved with a number of other magazines and also got into health foods. He had a memory like an elephant on steroids. He could tell you the date we last got together and what we talked about.
I know there will be many that have missed his cheerful conversations on the radio and in person. Rest in peace, Mr. "Never Say Die".
