MSF5000 - analog to digital station conversion

Post by qball »

I have an MSF5000 analog station and the SCB has laid down. I have a digital SCB and am curious as to the level of difficulty of swapping the boards to get the repeater working again.

Does anyone have any experience swapping the analog SCB to a digital (CXB) control board?

Warm up your soldiering iron, one jump wire and changing a couple jumpers on the board. It will take you longer to take the board out of the plastic tray than to do the mod. Bob (KCBOOBOO)a member here also has some very good articles on programming as well on the repeater-builder site
