S-split used for ham?

Hi all,

Is it possible to use an S-split radio down to the upper portion of the ham radio band? I imagine that 420 would be quite a stretch, but 440MHz isn't too far off the lower edge of the radios intended usable frequencies. What would be involved in doing something like this?

Sam

That would be important, wouldn't it? I'm referring to HT1000s.

Sorry about that.

In the past I have used "S" split Jedi radios in the 440 portion of the ham band w/o a problem. Very easy to do. GARY

Agreed, works well down to at least 440 Here's a test including out of band performance on the JT1000 which shares the main board with the HT1000, results should be very similar.
