Radio Stun/Inhibit

Hi Folks-

An interesting question arose today during a meeting that we really didn't have an answer for, even after five of us scouring the internet for an hour trying to figure it out.

In a P25 conventional system, where does the Radio Stun/Inhibit, Emergency Acknowledge, and Radio Check commands actually come from? In example, the dispatcher decides to stun/inhibit a certain radio on the P25 Conventional system, and when he/she presses the inhibit icon, where does the command signal that the radio actually responds to originate from? Is it from the DIU 3000, or the Centracom BIM system?

Thanks for the help.

Excellent, thank you! Five of us couldn't figure it out for the life of us!

I know this is not exactly what you asked but some radios can also be optioned and programmed to send stun and kill commands to other radios directly (using "H02 - Encrypted Tactical Inhibit").
