First thing you must do is make a copy of the radio codeplug and save it to a floppy or what ever. Do not rely on the normal place you have set the radio software to save the files to. If you do and tell it to save, it will over write the information and you will be screwed.
If you do a search on the Internet for spectra mods and bit banging, you should find a number of locations that will allow you to download a PDF file that will give you the memory address locations that contain all the information that you will need to change.
in the lab software, you have a service selection. In there you will see a bit bang selection. This is where you can go in and tell the radio what control head you want it to have. You can turn on or off the features you want, like zone operation, scan, multi Pl and that kind of thing. When you get into that section of the software, you enter in the address you want to change, then tab to get to the other number displayed. This then will allow you to change that number. Now you have to save that and then back out of where you are with the F10 button. You will see it when you get into that section of the program. Write the radio. read the radio and then save it in the normal location with the radio software.
Don't forget this all has to be done in pure DOS and not in a DOS window in XP or what ever your using. Need a slow computer clock when running the radio software.

Jim, I have not found that information in a long time.
The location is 6060 and that would be BF for the A4 control head.

The first site in my search showed this link.
http://www.repeater-builder.com/motorol ... nging.html
The information is out there. There is a better site with more information. But it isn't me that is looking for it. I have done my homework.
