Hi Folks,

I'm trying to get a W9 head to work on an XTL5000 drawer with the single DB-25. It works, but the radio pays no attention to the ignitions wires & is on all the time. I know this is not the preferred TIB for the W series heads, but in investigating the documentation, the differences in pins on the DB-25 can be modified by different jumpers in the TIB. (per the DSM)

But, the detailed service manuals I have for the 5000 & 2500 all show the dual DB-25 TIB.

Anybody have a schematic on this TIB? (it's the one with a single DB-25, center GCAI connector & round plugs for 2 heads).

BTW, the number on my TIB is HLN1472A, Kit # HLN6913A

How is the radio programmed to respond to the ignition control?

If it only has one DB25 then that TIB is for the O series heads not the W series. Hopefully you haven't smoked anything.

Get the right TIB.
