MOL Download so... slow

Post by N4DES »

So for the last 2 days I have been attempting to DL the latest APX CPS from both the office and at home and finding that both locations is soooo slow.
Anyone else seeing this? Initially I figured it was network traffic at the office, but even with my screaming Comcast at home at +30M/sec it is a +1/2 hour download.

This is just nuts...

Got APX 11.01 in about 15 minutes on U-Verse Max (21MB down)
This was about 1230 today

They QOS downloads to about 1mbps unless it's late at night

Bandwidth is evidently very expensive in Chicago?

I figured it must of been them and not me....especially attempting to dl it at different locations, times, and with different internet providers.
I finally did get a successful dl, but it felt like forever....

Pulling ASTRO25 Portable and Mobile v20.01 at 1.1 MB/sec each. so for 1.2 GB should be around 10 minutes by the looks of things.

Perhaps your ISP is the one throttling it back during the daylight hours?

Perhaps he is referring to the Illinois State Police.............we'll maintain your radio system if you provide us with free internet courtesy of the taxpayers......bahahaha I couldn't resist. You would have to understand our "state of the art" statewide radio system to get this perhaps
